Anyone who rides with high beams on in a car or on a bike are just inconsiderate idiots!
If your lows are too soft; get new bulbs!!!!!! Clean the front of your light!!!!!!!

[quote} well i hate to say it, and sound ignorant, but when im riding at night i want to see... i DO flick my highs off for mortorcyles cuz i dont want to blind them. but not cars... what happens to me when i hit a deer? die? what happens to a guy in a car?
What happens? Maybe he drifts across the double yellow and smacks your dumb pierced ass.
i DO have new bulbs in my bike and the lows are still to low for my comfort.
Sounds like your light needs aimed. Remind me next time your up.
again i dont mean to be a dick but whos in the more dangerous position, me with my highs off and losing how many feet of visibility? or the guy in the car who can easily look away from my light for 3 seconds?
You're both pretty dangerous. If you fall and he runs over those things you have through your eye brow, he may lose a tire, cross lanes and run off the berm. Maybe hit a cow.
and yeah lol do what justin says Damn. Easily the smartest thing you've ever said.
he recently gave me a stock pipe. (thanks again) first time ive heard my bike with a stock pipe and i love it. so much cleaner sound. and you can actually hear what goes on with your bike incase something is wrong.
What I could never understand is how people think pipes sound more powerful. To me, when you hear a pipe, it just sounds like it's screaming for mercy. When you hear a bike with stock pipe, it sounds like pure power. When you give it the stick, you can practically hear the little guy in the engine room dumping more coal on the fire. All it took for me was standing in a parking lot while a bunch of bikes went past. The last one had a stock pipe and the sound of the motor made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. By the way, I have your pipe still. I leaned it against the telephone pole out front in hopes that the Fast and the Furious punks across the street would take it to use as a fart can on one of their Civics or Neons. If you want it back, let me know.

Ok Justin. And the rest of you.......
I have a STOCK pipe. I don't ride with my high beams on. If you need your high beams on so that you can drive at night whether in a car or on a bike; you shouldn't be driving/riding. Period. It's that simple.
High beams are for when there is no one else on the road for a good mile or more in front of you. And there's no oncoming traffic. And there are no streetlights. If all of these factors are met it's pretty safe to say that you don't/can't have a very good view or idea of what the road physically looks like in front of you. So the high beams give you a GREATER DISTANCE IN VISIBILITY! That's it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I see a car just as well at night wether it's high beams are on or not. Same with a bike. If I don't see it, it's because I wasn't paying attention and I'm a crappy driver in the first place! And yes, headlights during the day do make a vehicle more visible at longer distances. But wether or not your highs are on makes no difference during the day.
Oh, and by the way; you can be ticketed for driving with your high beams on for no reason. Reckless driving ticket in most states. If you are blinding other drivers you are a hazard to safety on the road.
So maybe you all should stop thinking of yourselves only and how "visible" you are to other people and start treating other motorists the way you'd like to be treated.
Oh wait. How silly of me. People already hate motorcyclists and try and kill us every time we ride. So screw them, right?
