Hi
Just got a CBR 600 F2 1991 and need help on setting up the rear suspension.
1, how do you alter the shock to make it harder.
2, do you need any special tools.
3, What are the standard settings so i have a starting point to work from.

Thanks

Richard

Not sure about the factory setting but adjustment I believe is accomplished by using the spanner tool in the tool kit. It looks like a moon shaped tool with a notch sticking out on the curved end. Use this to turn the collar on the rear shock. I'm presuming the F2 has the same type of shoch setup as the F4. If not someone correct me.

OK - for the F2 the spring preload adjuster has seven numbered positions stamed on it. number 1 being the minimum ( softest) and 7 the maxium ( hardest).
Honda recommends 3 as the standard setting.

this can be adjusted as CocaColakid suggested by using a c-wrench supplied in the tool kit supplied with the bike ( if you still have it !! )
