this means war
« on: March 21, 2003, 12:02:16 AM »

Well it's started.  Being as there are several US military and navy workers on this forum, i was curious to hear some of your opinions on this matter.

Personally, one thing that pisses me off already is all this "body double" jargon.  Yeah, right, Saddam has a perfectly matched body double who made a statement last night. Roll Eyes  HOly fuck, you didn't get him last night, so keep trying... don't just make shit up.  SOmebody punch the jackass who made up that double body theory.  SOmetimes CNN and its sources are dumbasses.

I'm not sure how they are going to get him unless there is an insider.  I mean i'd bet a whole lotta dough that he's at least 50ft underground....but i guess you can't run a country from a basement.

Gimme a few minutes and Ill get some links..But if I remember right they a had a team of forensic experts determine that sadam has at least 3 doubles..and that the man himself almost never shows up.For anything.
Saddam's son's body double defected  to avoid another plastic surgery (to make him look more like..well, whatever his name is).
first few I saw

Found another one..this one points out how to tell one from the other

Madd Dog productions eh??  Seems a reliable source Huh Especially when the guy talks about nude photos of Anna Kournikova, Austin Powers references and such.

So even if there was "body doubles" it would be nearly impossible to mimick his voice as well...this isn't mission: impossible.  I can understand public events: Lots of iraqi people hate him and i'm sure some brave stand-in could have plastic sugery, but i just think it's stupid that people cry body double, as they seem overly confident that forces could take him out in one night.  THe guy is not stupid.....he's not sitting by a window with a dumb grin on his face.

If body doubling was so easy to do, don't you think the US presdient would have one? Wouldn't Kennedy have had one the day he was shot? He surely didn't have anything to say in a passing public motorcade.  Sure we wasn't nearly as hated as Hussein, but you gotta think about it if you believe this stuff.

I don't know, i'm still skeptical.  For sure it's possible, almost anything is possible with buckets of money.  My point however is that is bugs me that people bring this up to cover up an unsuccessfull attack.  It's like propaganda to keep support alive and keep public interest........oooooooooo body doubles........ooooooo he has 9 lives...........ooooooo flying cows..............etc etc.  It's like they  tried to get him last night and they didn't........so let's talk about the excuses. Thanks CNN.  NOtice how the video was of him scrambling through a quickly prepared speech on a flip note-pad....as to say, "yes, you bombed the city but my alla loving ass is still alive, 100ft underground.  keep trying fuckers"

Not busting your balls either.  The forensic evidence makes sense, but it's still a computer program analyzing a video tape.  THe validity of the program itself is never mentioned: No statistics provided as to its effectiveness, or accuracy.  Any accredited publication would have gathered such figures.  And i thought forensic scientists examined cadavers, not videotape compilations?

Bottom line: I'd much rather see support for soldiers on the news rather than some fat CNN bastard saying "hey look there, his head diameter is actually 99.98% of what it should be.  IMPOSTER!" ........ummmmmm yeah.  If there are body doubles, i hope they or their family are getting ootles and ootles of cash and benefits, cause they're probably gonna get dusted soon.

To each his own......thanks for posting the articles.  IT was interesting to read (but the third link is broken.)

Ok, I figured out your problems: CNN! Why are you watching that crappy station? Fox News Channel is all I'm watching!

I'm active duty in the Navy and am stationed in VA Beach.

And yes all you naysayers: he does have body doubles. The problem that we have is that we don't have any DNA sample on him. So if we do kill him we won't know if it's really him! When you dump a building on him with a T-LAM it's kinda hard to ID the body. So that's why we need the DNA. To know for sure.

And yes, we can kill him when he's 50 feet below the ground. Those Bunker Buster bombs are made to do just that. They dig down a predetermined distance and then explode. They are laser guided.

Any other questions I can answer?  Tongue

Two choices here, either one plausible: the CIA or the mafia. Take your pick.

Active Duty Army Here...
You wanted my opinion on the war..? I think that is is a pointless war that Bush is running so he can show the world he has balls. I think the backlash from other countries could permently damage the UN and NATO, and i think that we are losing more american lives for something that wasnt threating us. But as a loyal solider all i can say is "Ours is not queston why, ours is to do and die."

Army here as well,

I think it is justified although not entirely well timed.  Knowing a little of the history of IZ (Iraq) and Saddam and his regime in particular, I understand and approve of the need to carry through with this operation.  I must say however, that even had he NOT had WMD; the atrocities alone that he has committed against the Kurds, the Shia, the Iranians, Kuwaites, and dissidents to name a few thousand, would be enough to can his a**.

Nato...had its uses and still pertinent but in no way a necessity

UN...LMAO..can anyone say League of Nations?  Incompetent (kinda like my spelling) and impotent organization.  Any institution that allows a dictator having once been known as a world sponsor of terrorism and oppressor of people Chair a Human Rights Committee can not (in my book anyhow) be taken seriously.  Yea...Muamar Khadafi is the right person for the job. I am a Marine.  I should be over there in the sandbox kicking some ass. Fortunately, and unfortunately, I sustained a fairly serious back injury in July. This injury has left lasting problems and constant lower back pain. This has led to my pending discharge. I am waiting on it to be completed, but as it stands right now I am just, for obvious reasons, not a priority to the Marine Corp. Anyway, in terms of my opinions on this war, I support it. I don't support innocent casualities, but you know what, if we don't do something to stop these people, then we are gonna stand a much greater chance of losing our innocent citizens. All these people who are protesting the war make me sick. Hey, you don't have to support the war. Not at all. Prior to the war, protesting was different. It was more acceptable. But now that the war has started, the protests need to stop. It does nothing but hurt the morale of the military personnel fighting for us, and it draws more turmoil in our country. Anyway, I support the war. It is too bad it had to come to this, but Iraq was given ample time and plenty of chances to do what we asked, and they didn't.
If you know ANYONE over there fighting, then send them letters and packages as often as possible. You don't know how much good this does for them.

Call me what you will but I totally don't agree with it and I am glad Canada didn't send anyone over. I have to say I am sorry to see this happen but pardon me for saying so this is after all my opinion BUSH in a FUC* head the guy seems to be taking orders from his dad I mean really his dad didn't do the job the way it should have been done and now his son is in there trying to clean it up years later. Oh well I guess that is what happens in the world I am just glad I live north of the border. Nothing against the american people or the military I mean hell they have a job to do like the rest of us it is just the man in the big ugly house making all the decisions that is in idiot in my opinion I feel sorry for all your masses having to deal with this everyday all the protest and all the anti american sentiment around the world. I know a number of families in the US that when they travel to europe wear a Canadian flag or pin on their jackets so they will be treated better oh well what can you do just sit back and watch I guess.
