I think most of you guys on here are being a little too harsh,is it because its a female that wants the bike?do you feel threatened that the sport of riding will be overtaken by women? its a simple answer if she wants to start with a big bike let it be she can go buy a ninja 500 and end up hurt pulling out of her driveway, so could you! but as for her size a person should be on a bike they can pick up themselves without help. I think everyone on this thread should step outside the bike ring and look at bikes and cars in general. its like a yugo vs ferrari or in bikes a ninja 500 vs hayabusa i guarantee most people dont buy a ferrari because of its performance but for its looks and to be one of few to own one.about the response that "why pay more for a bigger bike if your not gonna use its potential" thats idiotic to say you must be one of the special people that run to redline from every light with every shift to get going as fast as you can before sinking that front end at the next light.come on people i do admit there are stupid riders out there but let it be they will end up not being able to ride anymore when they decide to do something stupid.but as for the girl nobody knows who she is all we know she could jump on her new gsxr750 and outride YOU!!!!!!

I think the basis of the argument (if i recall) was that the girl saw a movie with guys doing many tricks on bikes. SHe bought the bike (or planned to) not only to look cool, but presumably to immitate who she thinks IS cool. Thus she is more than likely going to attempt stunts....and there inlies the stupidity my friend: Brand New rider + Brand new 600cc sportbike + wanting to do tricks as a new rider = good chance for a disaster. Yes it could happen to any of us (crashing or whatever) but the argument is this girl bought a bike for the wrong reasons......to HOT DOG it. I wish her all the luck though, as i said before i love seeing chicks on sport bikes.
anyways, whatever....i'm so sick of this movie and i still haven't even seen it yet!! haha

I understand you ryan but most of the replies are saying she needs to start on a smaller bike which kinda throws out your reply .If they are thinking the same as you they would be saying she should not get a bike period because of her reason of wanting one,but if she's a quick learner and can ride it like she should then who are we to say.And yes women sportbike riders are HOT. also biker boyz was the worst movie ever about sport bikes,the reason? it just stunk,they are all dressed like the east coast guys with chips helmets and chaps on sportbikes,along with the dirt bike stunts and jumps and just all out fake plot and scenerios.just hated it they could have gotten some tips or suggestions from actual riders first.

yes scooter, this is something that has been brought up in different threads before. THe point is that if people have discipline and a sense of power between their legs they can do fine. If i would have started on a hyabusa rather than an old cruiser i think i would have been ok....because i knew when i started that ANY bike could kick my ass....1300cc's or not. I think the other replies to this thread are just concerned that this girl may not have the discipline it takes (as she seems impulsive: see shiny bike doing tricks --> buy shiny bike to do tricks.)
