I hadn't seen the flame-job R1, so I had to look.

That's pretty hot. I previously really liked the look of the flat black/silver R1, but this flamejob is pretty sharp.
The R1 is a cool bike, with GOBS of power, reasonable comfort (I've done 8hr days on an R1), and extremely lightweight...
The whole break in thing though has me puzzled... Some say 'very gentle' others say ride it normal...

Me, personally?? Well, I break in over the first few hundred miles while EVERYTHING comes in (brakes, chain, tires, etc) just making sure not to ride in the same gear too long, and do NOT under-rev the bike. Dogging the engine is harder on it than whipping the piss out of it.
