Hindle vs. Vance&Hines
« on: December 16, 2002, 11:50:05 PM »

Im out on the market for an after market exhaust.
To either purchase the Vance&Hines S4 Slip-on

or a Hindle Slip-on (maybe even a full system)

I personally love the "look" of the S4 but i haven't heard to many good things in reviews. I want something really throaty and loud.

And the Hindle of couse i've heard tuns of good about, i just dont want to end up spending the money on the Vance&Hines and then realize i should have gone with Hindle.

From experience, what do you guys think?

I personally liked the sound, look and workmanship that the V&H offered. I thought the Hindles were to loud and didn't have the same quality in appearance. The V&H isn't overly loud and it looks good. As for performance, save your money and buy a bigger bike if your looking for a power gain.

Like i've posted in the other thread, im just a rook and im not looking for more power...

On a scale of Loudness from 1-10, How would you rate both cans?

1 being not so loud at all
10 being loud as fuck

I have 3 friends that all have Hindles and i really like the sound im just trying to make a little comparison between the 2.

Your input is much appreciated!

I have the Vance&Hines S4 Slip-on on my F3 and I really like it.  I think the sound is a pretty deep pitch when at low RPM's and gets pretty loud as you rev it up.  That way it is not so loud you'll get a ticket in town but screams when you really get on it.

I found the Hindle to be a more tiny sound compared to the V&H. The Hindle I would rate at about an 8 on the noise. The V&H I would have to say 6-7. Not too loud in the lower rpms but gets louder up higher.

Get an Arrow way better than both of those and you can get it from www.redracingparts.com for around 650 Canadian for a CF can

I have an Arrow and I love the weight savings and the sound I have just ordered the race header for it full system cost me a total of 1100 tax and shipping in comparison to 1200 for a hindle that has half the build quality and performance in my opinion the Arrow is the way to go
