removing shifter
« on: December 15, 2002, 12:32:41 AM »

hey guys I was wondering if I could get a little help... my shifter got bent when I went down the other day, and I want to remove it so that I can try bending it back.  I couldn't find anything in the factory service manual about this.  The closest thing I could find was on page 9-12, where it says "Remove the pinch bolt and the gearshift arm." but nothing else.  Looking at it, I think that I need to remove my left footpeg?  To remove that, is it just the four allen head bolts (two big, two small)?  If so, what size is the big allen wrench?  I have some big ones but they don't fit, so I'm going to have to go buy one or something.  Thanks for any help!
