I'll make it up to you, Justin.  You can be invited to my moving party. Grin  Oh yeah, my current apartment is on the third floor.

Oh yeah, smartass, I don't remember getting an invite to your housewarming party. Wink

I haven't had my party yet. I was planning on throwing a motorcycle shidig this summer. The idea is for me to invite as many motorcycle oriented people as posible, and see how many bikes I can get in front of my house for a picture. We'll take yours off the trailer for the pic. As for you moving party, I'm afraid you scheduled it on the same day I'm having my earlobes lengthened. Maybe next time...

ok and back on topic... got another question... some shmuck who owned bike before me thought it would be cool to use a paint brush to paint the fairings... so they are streaky and lumpy if u look close.  cant paint over that shit,  should i sand? or use paint thinner? or some thing else?

The easist thing would be to buy some used plastic. I know it isn't the answer you want, but it's the right way to do it. If not, you have to sand down past the lumps, but it's best to not sand the whole way to the plastic. Then, paint over it.

is paint thinner bad?  and for what reason?  (just wondering)

any special way to sand? or certain grit i should use? (obviously not to low of a grit)

Paint thinner makes a big mess, epsecially on plastic. Plus, you don't want to go down to the bare plastic, which is what thinner will do. I would buy used rashed plastic on e-bay and fix that. Doing so would be easier that dealing with coat of paint that was brushed on. Obviously you want to start as fine as possible to save steps. I'd start at maybe 220 and go from there. Actually, if you prime with a good, high solids primer, 400 would be fine enough. Good primer would fill in the scratches.
