For you F4i (and other H7) bulb users...

Just came across this on eBay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1872165613

$345 for dual HIDs is a excellent price! I paid about $350 for my single H4 HID bulb about a year ago, and I still see pairs being sold for around $600.

Caution though: the ballast units for HID systems are large, and you may not have enough space under the plastic to install both units, or even one. I was able to fit the ballast and controller unit right atop the light housing, between the dash and windshield on my F4 (not F4i). Check the space under your plastics. The bulb leads are usually around 8 inches long, with the ballast leads about the same lenght. The ballast unit itself sould be around 6"x5"x1 1/2" or so. If the type thier selling is the 2 separate units, the ballast would be a little smaller, and the 2nd box (igniter I think) is around 1 1/2"x1 1/2"x1".

If you can go half and half with someone else, the low beam alone would give enough lighting to make the high beam halogen nearly useless.

[Edit]DOH!! I didn't notice the pic at the bottom. Guess you can get a rough estimate of the sizes of the units. The Hid bulbs are around 2 1/2" in length.[/Edit]

I didn't notice that it ended so soon, but he still has more up for bid.

He also has 9006, H4, and 9007s for the same price! Shocked

The H4s dont have the high and low beam, thier just low beam. But trust me, HIDs are definetly worth the price! And at those prices, I'd buy a couple of sets myself, if I had something else then just my F4.  Embarrassed

DannF4, I don't think they are in the auction. I believe its just a selling page.

Your right. In my haste I didn't notice it wasnt H7. Still, thier not bad prices at all. Worth the price to upgrade your car if they have the type your car needs.
