You don't need fork seal unless they are leaking. I change my oil every winter, but only because I get bored. Last winter I removed a poerfectly good motor from my F2 and stuck in an F3 motor. I just get bored and do stuff. In reality, I suppose every other winter or so would be a good interval for fork oil. Did you check the manual?

no i just figured i would ask you guys! i will change the fork oil in the spring. getting a mite chilly in the morning. and probably wont be able to hack much more. so i will take the bike off the road. heavy sigh! thanks again!
Yep you probably should have changed fork oil 4 times by now. Not many people change their oil like they should. When you dump it out look at it in the light. See the pretty sparkely thingys? BAD!
At 48k miles and no changes I'd go ahead and dis assemble the fork tubes and have a look and the inner and outer bushings. If the seals dont leak then they are fine but in old oil bushing wear thin fast.
