Brakes and stuff. - long

I did it again, spent money I didn't need to spend  Cheesy . I'm very happy about it!  Some of you may remember that I was asking for advise on what to get to replace my slight warped stock rotors. Over a month ago I ordered some EBC Rotors. They haven't come yet because they are on backorder - I ordered the street version.  I spoke to Terry at High-side Racing who spoke with EBC and asked them to just send me the race version, which is in stock - and now on it's way to me! Terry does take care of his customers, I've always been happy with his service and advice.

Well, while waiting for the rotors, I decided to put the ss lines on and since I was doing that, I decided to try again to put the Pro-tek clip-ons on (see the review section).  This time I had a used master cylinder with a remote reservoir and was able to get it to fit. It was still a tight squeeze, and I had to use the stock brake lever itself as that one has a lower profile that the one that was on the remote res. one.
After puring two cans of brake fluid through the new lines and still getting bubbles, it turned out that the damn master cylinder was no good. I was not happy, so I decided to spend a lot of money instead of fooling around with free stuff that won't work. I bought a Spiegler radial master cylinder assembly. The Goodridge SS lines are not quite right for the spiegler since the attachment is not in the same place as the stock one, but they fit.  That Spiegler is a work of art!  Much more power than the stock assembly, beautiful workmanship, modulation, everything. Also, it fits with the lower clip-ons and leaves room to adjust the lever position to where I want it too boot. So now I have an ultra cool, powerful brake lever, Pro-tek clip-ons, stainless steel lines, and EBC Rotors and pads on the way.  If I had it to do all over again, I'd go with spiegler stuff throughout. It's expensive but it sure is nice stuff.  I'll send in pictures when I get around to it.
