seems like this must be a coomon prob, I have an F4 with only 1000k's on it (3 weeks old) and it started the noise at about 600kms old, it comes on at about 3500-4000rpm and then again at 4500-5000rpm, I was paranoid about it but the bike shop said its nuthin to worry about, so now i just either ignore it or ride around it...... but if it gets worse i might look into a warranty replacement job. It just get s annoying during inner city commutes!!! have fun 
exact same symptoms and rmp range as my f4 and f4i
anoying as hell.

 ya my damn f4i does that rattle when moving thing too when its within certain rpms( above 4,500) ever since i bought it a friend had his cct replaced ( warranty work) and he said the shop claimed they did 9 so far this year, he road mine and said he can barely hear it but sounds kinda like his. every one seems to have this problem huh .
but im pretty sure i jacked my front bearings clicks when the front bobs up and down hard  ( learning wheelies before i got setting it down right) so its gotta go in this winter.
