Bad bog, bike wont do better than 80km/h
« on: May 16, 2009, 03:22:00 AM »

So i just got this 99 f4 with 56000 km on it... I didn't have my license yet when i got it so i figured i might as well take it apart and check the valve clearance. So I found the 2 intakes on #1 were tight... re shimmed... spot on now. But when i finally got my license and took it for a tear, it ran like crap. Its idling slightly rough but not bad and it doesn't like to go past 6000 rpm... Everything is stock on it, it will not accelerate past 80kmph and when holding the throttle steady you can feel it getting power losing like your hand on the throttle was having a spasm... I was told by the guy I got it from that he just put new spark plugs in... and the oil had been just changed. I have put sea foam in the gas and it does not seem to be making a difference. Some help would be greatly appreciated!
