Shift linkage - rearsets
« on: March 18, 2006, 01:59:15 PM »

Hey guys, new here. I have an F4 (obviously) and have just installed some Vortex rearsets. The shift linkage shaft is now too short at 7 3/4". It needs to be an inch or so longer to work well. One end of the shaft is regular metric thread (not sure what as I don't have a metric thread gauge) and the other end is a left hand thread. Does any body know if Honda has something in the length i am looking for? I've considerd making my own but it will require drilling out and retapping the rearset rod end threads to a larger regular right hand thread. Throughts and comments are welcome. By the way, I believe Vortex has the linkage but is way too long for some reason and they want about 25US. By the time I get anything across the border with duty and exchange it'll be big bucks.
